Membership Requirements

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Freshmen/Sophomore students interested in joining will be invited to join at the end of their sophomore year if they have a 3.5 un-weighted OR 3.75 weighted cumulative academic GPA after 10th grade of the fall semester.

Maintain a 3.75 or higher weighted academic GPA or a 3.5 or higher non-weighted academic GPA.
Complete a minimum of 25 service hours per year. Due Date:
- At least 10 of these service hours must be NHS sponsored.
  - If 0 volunteer hours are submitted by the end of junior year, member will be removed from NHS.
No U's or N's in citizenship.
Failure to finish the amount of required hours for the year will result in member on probation.
- Must complete all junior year hour requirements by the end of the first semester of senior year or will result in member's removal from NHS.

  - Members must complete a total of 25 service hours during their junior year and another total set of 25 service hours during their senior year.
  - By the end of senior year, member should have completed a total of 50 hours with at least 20 of these hours being NHS sponsored.

Failure to finish junior year hour requirements by the end of the first semester of senior year will result in the member's removal from NHS.

All members apart of NHS need to have completed a TOTAL OF 50 HOURS of community service by graduation.
You need to fulfill a minimum of 25 hours every year with at least 10 of the hours being NHS sponsored.
You will need to have completed at least 20 hours of NHS sponsored events. 10 from your junior year and another 10 from your senior year. Likewise, at least 15 hours of community service hours from your junior year and another 15 from your senior year, totaling up to be the 50 hours.

*Any extra hours from sponsored events will be carried over to count towards your non-sponsored event hours.
